The Selwyn-Waihora Zone Implementation Programme for water management was formally received by Environment Canterbury at its council meeting on Thursday December 15, 2011. A copy can be downloaded from the ECan website.

This 15.5lb trout was caught in the Lower Selwyn River on Sunday October 16th by 10 year old Ben Strong using a live bully on a 6lb line. Ben (left) and brother Daniel are pictured with the trout. Ben and Daniel are the fourth generation to have fished the Selwyn from Lower Selwyn Huts.
